Thursday, April 6, 1967

STONE - Edmond M. Stone, son of Everett and Florence Stone, was born in Lucas County, Iowa November 30, 1897 and passed away March 28, 1967 in Rochester, Minn.

Early in life he united with the Chariton Christian Church. He received his education at Salem school in Lucas county.

On January 22, 1919 he was united in marriage to Mary Belle Campbell in Humeston. To this union four children were born, Bob, Keith, Kathryn (Mrs. Donald McElvain) and Mary Jo (Mrs. Raymond Morse), all of Chariton.

Edmond spent his entire life in this community, actively engaged in the Lucas County Farm Bureau, vice president of State Charolais Association and Trustee of his church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald.

Surviving, besides his loving wife and children are: two daughters-in-law; two sons-in-law; 17 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Atwell, of Glen Ellyn, Ill., and Mrs. Nellie Massman, of Russell, and one brother, Tom, of Chariton; along with a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., March 31, 1967 at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. The Rev. Eldon Jandebeur officiated at the services. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
