Anne passed away Saturday at the Sanford Hospice Cottage, Sioux Falls. Visitation will be 3-8 pm Tuesday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home & Crematory with family present 6-8 pm and prayer service at 7:30 pm. Interment 9:30 am Wednesday at Hills of Rest Memorial Park and memorial service 11:00 am Wednesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls.
Anne was born August 26, 1918 at Lake Wilson, MN, the daughter of German immigrants, Henry and Meta Nett. She graduated from Lake Wilson High School.
She married Allan Clauson on November 2, 1940 at Rock Rapids, Iowa. They made their home at Sioux Falls and raised their family. Anne primarily worked at home caring for her family but did work for the Sioux Falls Public School system for a while.
Anne loved taking trips with her husband and enjoyed cooking and baking. She was an active member at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Anne is survived by her children, Nancy Allen (Denis) of Eyota, MN, Thomas Clauson (Elba) of Sioux Falls, Judy Nessan (Vernon) of Puyallup, WA, Mark Clauson (Nancy) of Sioux Falls, Mary Clauson of Sioux Falls, Daniel Clauson of Sioux Falls; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Emma Walker of Saratoga, CA. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and six siblings, Helen Margaret, Thelma, Herman, Henry and Martin.
