Helen (Larsen) Trask, 98, of International Falls, MN died on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Littlefork Nursing Home.
Helen was born on November 30, 1912 in Ranier, MN, the third of twelve children. She graduated from Falls High School in 1931. She married Robert Trask on November 12, 1937 and was a homemaker and worked as a cashier at National Tea. Helen was a member of Degree of Honor, Rainy Lake Women's Club, and Rainy Lake Art Club. She enjoyed oil painting and pastels, craftwork, quilting, needlework, crocheting, cooking, and baking. She enjoyed the tradition of guiding her family and children in building gingerbread houses and making Kroppkakor each Christmas.
Helen also enjoyed the hustle and bustle in her kitchen cooking and baking for family and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, Anna H. and Franz Larsen.; husband, Robert Trask (2/26/1990), brothers, Franz, Arvid, Robert, Vern, Earl, and Larry; sisters, Grace, Florence, Lila, and Iris Larsen.
Helen is survived by sons, Perry (Vickie) Trask of Int'l Falls, MN and Bruce (Robin) Trask of Littlefork, MN; brother, Ken (Mary Lou) Larsen of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Tracey) Trask, Jason (Lisa) Trask, Sophie Trask, Jesse (Sabrina) Trask, and Lane Trask; great-grandchildren, Olivia Trask, Andrew Trask, Adam Trask, Kaitlyn Trask, Tyneal Begger, Cassidy Rose Will, Saige Trask, and Ziniaya Trask; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 4th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Green-Larsen Mortuary.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
