Joseph McQueen was born July 15, 1854, in Clifford, Ind., and departed this life, May 10, 1932. He was married to Martha Johnson, July 26 1893. To this union was born four children: William F., of Oakland, ILL;, Marie Sperry, of Aurora, Ill, Leota McIntyre, of Danville, IL, and Wills at home. He was reared in a Christian home, his father being a Baptist minister. He united with the Baptist Church during a revival at the old Potts Church when a young man.
He was a good neighbor and was well liked by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held at the Pleasant Grove M. E. Church, last Friday, at 2 o’clock p. m., and was conducted by J. R. McBride, of Newman.
