Obituary
Mrs. Florence Estelle Lowman, nee Christian, was born April 23, 1876, in Summer [sic] County, Kansas, and there all her life was spent. At the age of 12 she was received as a communicant in the Presbyterian church. On March 12, 1904, she was married to Mr. Charles Lowman in Winfield, Kansas, and has since lived at Ponca City, and other points in Oklahoma and Kansas. Fred oliver, their only child, was born March 6, 1905. Mrs. Lowman died at Buffalo, Oklahoma, Friday afternoon, January 14, 1916. The end came suddenly, being caused by heart failure following an attack of the la grippe. Besides the husband and little son the following relatives survive: Her father, Mr. Moses Christian, of this city; three brothers, William Christian of Toledo, Ill., and Thomas and Jesse of Kibby, Okla.; and three sisters, Mrs. Etta Miller and Mrs. Della Wolf of Woodward, and Mrs. Henry Smith of Parkman, Oklahoma.
Funeral was held at 10:00 o'clock Monday morning in the undertaking parlor of Robinson & Chenowith in Woodward. Rev. F. O. Seamans officiating and a quartette choir of the Presbyterian Young People's Society furnishing the music.
The body was laid to rest in the Woodward cemetery beside that of her sister, Mrs. Coggins, who preceded her to the spirit world last March.
