HARLEY SAWDY, 71, of 2012 4th St., Bay City, died at Gen. Division of Bay Medical Center at 10:30 PM Friday, July 11, following a long illness.
He was born in Woodland on April 1, 1904, and had resided in Bay City since 1944.
On April 24, 1929, he married Ruby Wilson. She survives, as does a sister, Mrs. Ruth Britten of Hastings, and a brother, Miles Sawdy, of Woodland.
Mr. Sawdy retired in 1954 from New York Central Railroad.
Services were held Sunday evening at 7 PM at the Penzien Funeral Home. Rev. Louis Cobb officiated. Mr. Sawdy was taken on Monday to the Hastings Nazarene Chuch where services were held at 2:30 PM. Interment followed in the Woodland Memorial Cemetery.
