Mrs.J.L.Poteet,84 died in Jennings Community, Rt.3,Paris, Sunday at 7:45 am She made her home there with son, Roscoe Poteet.
The Funeral was set for 2pm Monday in Biardstown Christian Church, the Rev. Floyd H. Hoover of Belmont Baptist Church, Paris officiating. Brown-Roden Funeral Home had charge of burial in Friendship Cemetery.
Mrs. Poteet was formerly Miss Florence Olphelia Armstrong, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Armstrong, and was born in Arkansas, Dec.14,1866. Her husband died in 1946.
She leaves these children: Roscoe Poteet, Luther Poteet, Biardstown; and Mrs. J.C.Harris, Pattonville; 28 granchildren, 25 grt-granchildren, and four grt-grt-grandchildren, and two brothers and a sister, Dr. J.E.Armstrong, Bill Armstrong and Mrs. Minnie Fields, Paris.
