George Charles Morris passed away January 21, 2011. He was born September 9, 1931 to Chris and Gladys Cliver Morris in Salt Lake City, UT.

George married his sweetheart, Marilyn Cook, in 1955.

George retired from the State of Utah after 25 years of service.

Survived by his wife, Marilyn and daughter, Debra Morris (Leland) Leafty.

Also survived by his six grandchildren, Jason Leafty, Andrea Leafty and Melissa Leafty all from Salt Lake City, Utah; Star Leafty (Randy) Clayton from South Carolina; Jennifer Leafty (Ben) Sargent from Layton, Utah; and Adam Leafty from Ogden, Utah.
Survived by four great-grandchildren. Also survived by by his sisters, Kay Morris Wilson, Margeret Morris Johnson; and brother, Kenneth Morris all from Salt Lake City, Utah.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery located at 1342 East 5th South, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
