Dell, Rita J., age 80, of Kettering, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2002 at Kettering Hospital. She was born December 9, 1921 near Chickasaw, Ohio to Ferdinand and Rosa (Clune) Schwieterman. On June 23, 1945 she married Herbert J. Dell who died March 3, 1999. She is survived by a daughter Marilyn Anderson of Dayton; five sons and daughters-in-law, James and Emily, Kenneth and Jackie, Michael and Helen, Richard and Carl all of Dayton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Myron Huelsman of St. Henry, Mary Jane Doyle Birt of Coldwater; three sisters-in-law, Leona Schwieterman of Celina, Mary Schwieterman of Chickasaw, Mildred Shockey of Riverside; a brother-in-law, Norbert Dell of Dayton; nine grandchildren, Jacob, Kevin, Monica, Angela, Mark, Brian, Molly, Emily, Greg and two great grandchildren, Carolyn and Michael. She was a founding member of Ascension Catholic Church, Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, May 14, 10:30 A.M. at Ascension Church preceded by a prayer service 10:00 A.M. at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Burial Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association, envelopes available at the funeral home.
