Mrs. Hazel E. Garrison, 55, a resident of the Bringhurst community, died Monday afternoon at her home. Born south of Bringhurst on October 24, 1892, the daughter of Charles and Lynda (Bard) Ayres, she was married to Leroy D. Garrison in 1912. She was a member of the Grace Brethren church of Flora. Surviving is the husband; eight children, Carol Flora, Donald A. of Camden, Bruce R. of Flora, Joe M. of Flora, Mrs. Marilyn Popejoy of Bringhurst, Vaughn E., Charles G. and Robert G., all at home; the father, Charles Ayres, and; a brother, Bert Ayres, both of Bringhurst. Funeral rites were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Grace Brethren church with the Rev. Charles Bergeron and Rev. Russell Humbard officiating. Burial was in the Maple Lawn cemetery. Carter funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
