Mr. Corley was born Feb. 21, 1935, in Bell County, Texas, the son of Onice (Phillips) and Jack Corley. He died April 21, 2005 at his residence.
Mr. Corley was a retired construction supervisor, and had resided in the Lufkin area for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Redland Baptist Church. During WW II, Mr. Corley served as a paratrooper with the U S Army's 101st Airborn Division, which was also known as the Screaming Eagles. He loved to travel and to be outdoors. His favorite activities were hunting, gardening and fishing.
