He grew up in Bowlus, MN, served in the U.S. Navy and settled in Brooklyn Center where he was a member of the Lions Club.
Don owned and operated Check Refrigeration. He enjoyed camping, sailing, and traveling.
He is survived by one brother, four children, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and his companion Linda Odland.
He was preceded in death by parents, one brother, and one son.
Memorial service Thursday, Sept. 16 at 2 PM, Crystal Lake Chapel, Penn & Dowling Aves N. Visitation 1 hour before at the chapel. Burial with military honors Crystal Lake Cemetery. Washburn-McReavy Crystal Lake Chapel 612-521-3677
