Jeanette Clark Garriott (1908-2011)

Jeanette Clark Garriott, 102, passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at Victoria House.

Mrs. Garriott was of the Presbyterian faith and a schoolteacher for many years in the Louisville and Indianapolis school systems, retiring in 1973. She was a member of various bridge clubs, but most of all, she enjoyed the company of her great-grandchildren.

Born Aug. 15, 1908, in Seymour, she was the daughter of George A. and Josephine Leininger Clark, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Colin W. Garriott, who preceded her in death in January 1957.

Survivors include a son, John (Mary Ann) Garriott, Brookfield; two grandchildren, Heather Cigoi and Christina DeJulia; and four great-grandchildren, Abbey, Micah, Katie and Giuliana.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Garriott, and three sisters, Helen, Harriett and Charlotte.

A private memorial service will be held Saturday at Victoria House, Austintown, Ohio.

Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.

Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, Ohio 44512.
