SERVICES TO BE
HELD FRIDAY FOR
MRS. MARTIN

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m., Friday at San Jose Church for Juanita G. Martin, 80, of 314 South Alameda, who died Wednesday. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at the West Funeral Home Chapel at 8 p.m. Thursday evening. Burial will be in Carlsbad Cemetery.

Born at Fort Davis, Tex., Mrs. Martin had been a Carlsbad resident for 38 years. With her late husband, Jim Martin, she operated the Martin Grocery in Old San Jose.

Survivors include three sons, David Martin, Fontana, Calif.; Jack and Frank Martin, Santa Fe; seven daughters, Mrs. Rose Webster, Ft. Davis, Tex., Mrs. Jim Lopez, Santa Fe; and Mrs. Josephine Smith, Mrs. Frank James, Mrs. Separino Leos, Mrs. Cruz Fernandez and Mrs. Consuelo Valenzuela, all of Carlsbad.

In addition, 44 grandchildren and, 46 great-grandchildren survive.

Recitation of the Rosary for Juanita G. Martin, 80, will be held tonight at 8 p.m., at the West Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m., at San Jose Church with Fr. Michael Brown officiating. Burial will be in Carlsbad Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin died Wednesday at her home, 314 S. Alameda.

Pall bearers will be Charlie James, David Leos, Frank Smith, Tom Fierro, Rudy Wilcox, and Leo Martin.
