Services are pending with West Funeral Home for Josephine Rufina Smith, 94, of Truth or Consequences, N.M.
She died Friday at the Sierra Health Care facility in Truth or Consequences.
Mrs. Smith was born in 1896 in Fort Davis, Texas. In 1915, she moved to Carlsbad where she married the late Frank B. "Pete" Smith in 1919. She lived in Carlsbad until 1976, when she moved to Truth or Consequences to be with her daughter.
Survivors include one son, Frank B. Smith of Santa Fe; one daughter, Rose Womack of Truth or Consequences; one brother, Jack Martin of Santa Fe; two sisters Lita Leos of Carlsbad and Connie Valenzuela of Oxnard, Calif.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
