Clara Louise Morrison, 72, of Big Bend Road, Emlenton, Scrubgrass Township, Venango County, died at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, of injuries sustained in an accidental fall Monday in her home.

Born Dec. 9, 1934, in Salem Township, Clarion County, she was the daughter of Warren and Emma Reed Shaffer.

She was a 1952 graduate of Salem High School. Mrs. Morrison was a Protestant. She was a homemaker who enjoyed all types of puzzles and the company of her family, especially her grandchildren, as well as helping others.

Mrs. Morrison was married in Salem Township, Clarion County, Aug. 24, 1956, to Edward P. "Buss" Morrison, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Bruce Morrison and companion, Connie Moore, of Knox; a daughter, Connie Stitzinger and husband, Paul, of Knox; and three grandchildren, Bradley Morrison of Sligo, T.J. Shellhammer of Grove City and Jessica Shellhammer of Harrisville.

She also is survived by two brothers, Chester Shaffer and wife, Lynda, of Knox and Warren "Sammy" Shaffer of Polk; four sisters and their husbands, Rose and Paul Chambers of Longwood, Fla., Irene and Jim Karns of Harrisville, Helen and Jim Dinger of Harrisville and Shirley and Jim Sloat of Knox; and a brother-in-law, Dean Kraft of Shippenville..
Surviving also are three stepgrandchildren, Jason Stitzinger of Tionesta, Jeff Stitzinger and Tim Stitzinger, both of Titusville; three step-great-grandchildren, Trevor, Alissa and Brianna Stitzinger, all of Titusville; three "adopted buddies," Daniel Kroft, Brent Morrison and Randy Morrison; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Shaffer and Dorothy Kraft.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Osberg, pastor of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Knox, officiating.

Interment will be in Big Bend Cemetery, Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.
