Nancy was the daughter of Solomon Walker Peek, Sr. who was born about 1770 in Surry, North Carolina and died December 21, 1858 in Alpharetta, Fulton County, Georgia. Her husband, Alexander, died in camp at Dalton, Whitfield County, Georgia while serving in Company H of the 66th GA Volunteers. She had just been to visit him in camp 21 days before he died. She stated she received a letter from the "authorities" of his company telling her he died but did not say how he died or where he was buried. Nancy was buried in the Boiling Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Alpharetta, Fulton County, Georgia.[GMT]
