A Randolph resident most of his life, he was born in Mercer, Pa., March 12, 1915, a son of Jacob and Pearl Douglas Hedrich. Prior to his retirement in 1975, Mr. Hedrich was employed by Randolph Ford Garage, and previously had worked at the Farm and Home Store in Randolph for many years. He was a 1934 graduate of Randolph Central School and enlisted in the US Army in 1938. In 1939, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps, serving as a warrant officer through 1945 in World War II in Europe. ... Surviving are his wife, Rena Frahm Hedrich, whom he married Jan. 12, 1946, in Jamestown; a son Robert Hedrich of Randolph; and a sister, Esther MacWhinnie of Falconer. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Helen Polley, Ethel Arnold, and Marguerite Lockwood; and a brother, Charles Hedrich.... Burial was in Randolph Cemetery. ...
