Miss Alice Ruby Frank, 89, of Polkton, died Monday, February 21, 2011 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, S.C. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at Mineral Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony High officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the church on Thursday beginning at 1:30 p.m. until time for the service.
Ruby was born April 2, 1921, in Anson County, N.C., a daughter of the late Martin Griffith and Flossie Tysinger Frank. She was a veteran of World War II and retired from Civil Service in St. Louis, Mo., and was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are her brother and sisters, Martin Frank, Jr., of Hickory, N.C., Elizabeth Chambers of High Point, N.C., and Jaqueline Carelock of Gaffney, S.C.; and her nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Crowell, Dwight, Wayne, Harry and Mary Frank and Allene Therrell.
