Gaffney, SC - - Jacqueline (Jackie) Frank Carelock, 78, formerly of Forest Lane Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Summit Hills.
Born in Peachland, NC, she was the widow of Crawford Alexander Sr. and the daughter of the late Martin Griffith Frank Sr. and Flossie Tysinger Frank.
She was retired from Board of Public Works, after 47 years of service, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, loved to cook, loved her family, her church and her Lord. Mrs. Carelock was a member of West End Baptist Church.
Surviving is a daughter, Sharon (Shea) Sanders and husband, Dennis of Gaffney; a granddaughter, Brittany Carelock Coppersmith and husband, Matt of Norfolk, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews and great and great-great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Carelock was preceded in death by a son, Crawford (Chuck) Alexander Carelock Jr.; five brothers, Crowell Frank, Dwight Frank, Wayne Frank, Martin Frank and Harry Frank; and four sisters, Ruby Frank, Mary Frank, Allene Therrell and Beth Chambers. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Staff of Summit Hills and Agape Hospice
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely and Mrs. Lori Jones officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
