Son of Jackson Arrington

Rains County Leader, Emory, Texas, October 18, 1940:

J.M. Arrington Dies Suddenly:
James Monroe Arrington, age 74, died at his home one mile east of Emory Saturday afternoon.

Mr. Arrington was born September 30, 1866 in Collin County, Texas. At the age of two years he was left an orphan and was raised by Henry Williams and went by that name through school. At the age of 18 he professed Christ as his Savior.

At the age of 21, he married Miss Lou Cynthia Farley who preceded him in death in 1913. To this union, twelve children were born, seven boys and five girls, all surviving except one son who preceded him in death, March 19, 1912 at the age of 21 years.

He later was married to Miss Virgie Hamilton of Altoga, Texas who survives him. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
For some reason the "H" was dropped from the name Harrington?
