Edward R. Clanin, 76, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday in his home at 855 E. Elm St., after an illness of several years.

Mr. Clanin operated a tailoring business in his home. He was an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose since joining the lodge in 1915, and had held all the offices in the Canton lodge and in the Legion of the Moose.

He was a member of the "50 Division of the 25 Club" and held the highest honor that can be conferred by being a member of the Pilgrim degree. He had helped organize several lodges in this area.

He was married Oct. 31, 1944, at Dayton, Ohio, to the former Hazel Richards, who died June 6, 1961.

Surviving are one brother, Ellsworth Clanin, Dayton, Ohio, and a nephew, Melvin Clanin, Havana.

Funeral arranagements are incomplete and will be announced by Murphy Memorial Home.
