Little Tillie's mother Matilda "Tillie " Mason York ,died after giving birth to her beautiful little daughter.They are both laid to rest beside one another in Covington Cemetery. Their names are both on the same marker.
Little "Tillie" lived only 14 short days after the death of her mother. What a awful time Robert Daniel York must have had to lose his first young wife who was only 31 years old, and then 14 days later lose his baby daughter too, all the while he still had two other young children at home. Minnie who was only 3 years old, and Walter who was just 16 months old.
