Mrs. T. L. Gatlin, 74, of Grandview passed away in Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Cleburne, Sunday, March 12, about midnight following a long illness.
Minnie V. Gatlin was born in Texas April 12, 1897 to Robert D. and Tilley Mason York. She had lived in the Grandview community most of her lifetime. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She was married to T.L. Gatlin January 23, 1913 in Fort Worth. He preceded her in death January 8,1962.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. D.A. Poteet of Grandview and Mrs. Velma Poteet of Cleburne; two sons, Wesley Gatlin and Lamoine Gatlin of Grandview; twelve grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Eugene York of Burleson, J.D. York of Alvarado and Dennis York of Grandview and two sisters, Mrs. Lettie Forman of Alvarado and Mrs. Edith Clements of Grandview.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sand Flat Baptist Church. Officiating ministers were Rev. Carl Williams Sr., pastor of the church and Rev. Walter Black of Aledo, former pastor of First Methodist Church, Grandview.
Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased.
Interment was in Grandview Cemetery with Clayton Kay Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
