---Charles M. Douglas, eighty-two, died Tuesday night at 11:15 at this home here following a lingering illness in which he was bedfast for the past ten months.
---The body will lie in state at the Methodist Church from 1:00 to 2:00 Friday, December 15. Services will be conducted at 2:00 by Rev. Bennett. Interment will be in the La Plata cemetery.
---He was the son of Luther and Elizabeth (Leach) Douglas, and was born January 31, 1868 in Knox County.
---He was married to Amy Orchard November 29, 1893. They lived in Knox County until about forty years ago when they moved to La Plata.
---He is survived by his wife, four children, Mrs. Minnie Brokaw, Wayne and Cecil Douglas, all of Kansas City, and Mrs. Mable Westfall of St. Louis; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and one brother, Edward Douglas of Oklahoma.
