Obituary from the Bremen Enquirer, Bremen, Indiana, January 24, 1918:
"Balser Manges came home Sunday from the Soldiers' Home in Lafayette where he and Mrs. Manges have been for some time. Mrs. Manges died at the home Jan. 5 and was given interment in the cemetery at the home. Mr. Manges decided to come home and live with his children."
Please note, the 1900 census has her birth as November 1839, however her death certificate lists the date of February 13, 1839.
