Milton H. Marschke, 90, of Berrien Springs, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Caretel Inn in St. Joseph.

Mr. Marschke was born September 30, 1920 in Watervliet to Frank & Alma (Moser) Marschke. He graduated from Berrien Springs High School in 1938. On October 25, 1947 he married the former Wilma Schaenfeld in Sodus.

Milton was involved with farming all his life, and at the present location in Berrien Springs since 1950, which is still operated by his son and grandsons. Milton was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Berrien Springs, Berrien County Farm Bureau, Welches National Grape Co-Op, Coloma Co-Op Canning Co., and a life member of the Michigan Horticultural Society. When not farming, Milton enjoyed being with his family; fishing and playing cards with friends; spending time during the summers at Corey Lake in Three Rivers; and the winters in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Milton is survived by his wife Wilma; his children-Nancy (Kurt) Weber of Coloma, Joanne (Frank) Arford of Naperville, IL, Diane (Eric) Gohlke of South Bend, IN, Ronald (Vicki) Marschke of Berrien Springs; nine grandchildren-Kim (Carl) Hardt, Kyle (Melissa) Weber, Rachael, Lisa & Kaitlyn Arford, Erin & Megan Gohlke, Brian Marschke, and Brett (Erma) Marschke; and two great-grandsons, Kadin and Landon Marschke. He was preceded in death by his parents and by three brothers-Harley, Allen & Raymond Marschke.
