Alex; of Midvale, Utah and formerly of New Mexico; passed away in the Veteran's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the son of Eduardo and Peidad Pacheco Vigil. He married Rose Duran of Santa Fe.

Alex was survived by his wife Rose; children: Leroy Vigil and Lolo Martinez of New Mexico; Nai Martinez of Riverton, Utah; Mrs. Ollie Santistevan of West Valley, California; Mrs. Nina Olivarez, Johnny Vigil, and Mrs. Connie Velarde, all of Midvale; Alex Jr (Sonny) Vigil of West Jordan, Utah; Trino Vigil of Ogden; Larry Vigil of Wyoming; brothers and sisters: Amarante Vigil, Mrs. Vera LaComb, and Mrs. Eloisa Cisneros, all of New Mexico; 30 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Alex was a World War II veteran that served in the Phillipines and Australia. As a member of St. Therese Catholic Church he participated in the Spanish Choir, served as Eucharistic minister, and was a member of the Guadalupana Society.

Mass of Christian burial was on 5 May 1989 in St. Therese Church in Midvale. Burial followed in Redwood Memorial Estates.
