Loretta F. Champagne, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2006 at Oak Grove Living & Rehabilitation Center in Waterville, Maine. She was born in Skowhegan, Maine on February 11, 1913 the daughter of Neddy and Elise (Dionne) Franck.
Her early years were spent in Skowhegan. After marrying William Landry she moved to Madison, Maine. She later married Joseph Bushey and they were together until his death in 1953.
While in Madison she was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary. She devoted a great deal of time working on child welfare cases for the state. Loretta also was employed by several shoe factories before moving to Fairfield, Maine with her son and his wife where she met Omer Champagne. Together she and Omer spent many years in Florida. After Omer passed away she moved back to Maine to be near her family.
She was predeceased by her son, Donald Landry; her great-granddaughter, Amy Landry; her brothers, Louis, O'Neil, Adrian, and Willard Franck; and her sister, Lucille Franck.
Loretta will be sadly missed by her son, Robert Landry and his wife, Marilyn of Zephyrhills, FL; her brother, Lester Franck and his wife, Helen of Auburn; grandchildren, Dana Landry of Fairfield, Bruce Landry and his wife, Jen of Turner, Michael Landry of Madison, Cheryl Daigle of Anson, and Donna Plourde of Madison; and seven great-grandchildren.
Private family burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Fairfield, Maine. (Lawry brothers on-line)
