Walla Walla resident Keith K. Riggin, 59, passed away February 13, 2011, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Walla Walla, Washington, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Keith was born June 22, 1951, in Minneapolis, MN, to Ronald Gordon and Elsie Jeanette Zetter Riggin. He attended schools in Great Falls and Havre, Montana. He previously lived in the Portland area and moved to Walla Walla from the Tri-Cities 30 years ago. He worked as a supervisor for the Department of Corrections in the garment factories at Walla Walla and Coyote Ridge penitentiaries. He was also a sole proprietor and owned Saxon's Sew and Vac in Walla Walla from 1980 until 1995. On October 20, 1995, he and wife Debi were married in Lewiston, Idaho.

Keith had many varied interests. He participated in numerous bowling leagues and motorcycle events. He was a charter member of R.I.D.E.R. of Washington, a member in the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Walla Walla and the B.P.O.E. Lodge in Tri-Cities, Washington. He loved everything to do with cars and motorcycles. He loved the mountains, his cabin, traveling, good food, good drink, good friends and especially his family. He had a quick wit, a colorful vocabulary and a unique sense of humor. He was an excellent mechanic who could fix almost anything. He was an exceptionally talented artist who enjoyed working in pencil, paint and water color. He also sculpted, did different types of woodwork and was an accomplished photographer. He was deeply admired, dearly loved, and will be sorely missed.
