In January 1920 Gertrude Gravenhof (6 years old, born in Minnesota [has to be: Iowa]), her father Cornelius J Gravenhof (52, Holland, immigrated in 1881, farmer), mother Alice (39, Holland, immigrated in 1894), siblings John (11, Iowa), Henry (10, Minnesota), Albert (5, Minnesota), Cornelius (3, Minnesota) and Minnie (10 months old, Iowa) were living at their own farm in Rock Township, Sioux County, located in the extreme northwestern part of Iowa.

On January 1, 1925 the family Gravenhof was residing at Gertrude's birthplace, Wilson, Osceola County, northwest Iowa.

On October 8, 1935 Gertrude Gravenhof married the two years older William Feenstra, who had Dutch parents too.

They farmed for one year north of his birth town New Holland, Douglas County, South Dakota. Then they moved to the city of Bigelow, Nobles County, located in the extreme southwestern part of Minnesota.

In April 1940 Gertrude (27 years old, born in Iowa) and her husband William Feenstra (29, laborer in the hatching industry) were living in a rented house at Bigelow, Nobles County, located in the extreme southwestern part of Minnesota.

In 1942 they were still living in Bigelow, Nobles County, Minnesota, when her husband William J Feenstra was administrated on a WW II Draft Registration Card.

In March 1972 her husband William Feenstra died at the age of 60 years in Nobles County, Minnesota. Widow Gertrude died in July 1983 at the age of almost 70 years, probably at her last known residence place, Worthington, the seat of Nobles County, Minnesota.
