Leland Claude Turnbow was born July 5, 1929 in Wayne County, TN, to Hugh Arthur Turnbow and Fannie Ada DePriest Turnbow. He grew up in Perry County and moved to Hardin County, where he met and married Mary Lynn Austin on October 24, 1954. They raised two children, Donny and Judy.
Mr. Turnbow farmed most of his life in Hardin County. He also enjoyed his four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He is survived by one brother, Homer Turnbow and wife, Louise, of Savannah, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Harl, Roscoe, Clyde and Richard Turnbow; and four sisters, Ruby Sollis, Nellie Barber, Lillian McCloughlin and Altie Cohen.
Mr. Turnbow life this world early in the morning on September 14, 2014 at the Hardin County Hospital. He will be put to rest in the Sardis Cemetery.
