WEATHERFORD - The Rev. T.M. "Marvin" Bennett of Weatherford, a Baptist minister for more than 30 years, died Tuesday at a Weatherford hospital after a long illness. He was 76.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Old Sanctuary in Aledo Baptist Church. Burial will be in Aledo-Brown Cemetery in Aledo. White's Funeral Home in Weatherford is in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Bennett was born in Aledo and had lived in Weatherford 10 years. He pastored churches at Big Lake, Miles and Hamilton, and in several Parker County churches. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Weatherford. He was a Mason and member of Scottish Rite.
Survivors: Wife, Merle Bennett of Weatherford; three daughters, Shirley Fyzier of Fort Worth, and Helen Dill and Judy Sims, both of Weatherford; son, Bobby Bennett of Weatherford; brother, Bill Bennett of Mineral Wells; sister, Zuda Hurd of Grapevine; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
