She was born Oct. 21, 1897, in Charlesburg, a daughter of John and Anna Achter Steiner. On Nov. 26, 1934, she married Albert Freund at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg.
Mrs. Freund was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein, and the church’s Christian Women.
Survivors include one son, Vernon and his wife Kathy of New Holstein, and four grandsons, David, Paul, Gary, and Wayne.
Preceding her in death were her husband on June 24, 1979, six sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. The Rev. Carl C. Steiner, a nephew, will officiate. Burial will be at the parish cemetery.
Visitation is 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home in New Holstein, where a Christian Women’s rosary will be recited at 5 p.m.
