BRANNEN Betty Sullivan, 80, Lexington, wife of her devoted husband of 60 years, Thomas Boyce Brannen, both formerly of Maysville, KY, died Feb 14, 2011. Born in Lewis County, a daughter of the late George Edgar and Nila Riffe Sullivan. Betty was a bookkeeper for Parker Tobacco Co. and Ellington Farm Equipment, her husband's business. A graduate of Maysville High School, she was also a member of St. Patrick's Church in Maysville, KY.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Michaelene Brannen Cowgill and son-in-law, Bill Cowgill, Lexington; two grandsons, Michael (Amanda) Cowgill, Richmond, VA, and Collin Cowgill, Lexington; two sisters, Geneva Sullivan Brock, Winchester, KY, and Genola Sullivan Cablish (Homer), Sarasota, FL; many nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Nancy Brannen, Maysville, KY; and one brother-in-law, Michael J. Brannen, Jacksonville, NC. She was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters. The family would like to express their thanks to Mayfair Village and especially to our family at Mayfair Manor for the last years of love, care and support.

Funeral services at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Maysville, KY. Visitation.
