---Olan Wayne Davis, 89, of La Plata died Tuesday evening (February 27, 1990) at Grim-Smith Hospital.
---Born June 6, 1900 in Knox County, he was the son of Sam and Annie Calef Davis. He married Opal Snell who preceded him in death in 1980. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Herb Davis.
---Mr. Davis received his education in the Maple Grove rural school.
---He was employed by Swarthout Produce Company, for 30 years by the La Plata City Light Plant and by Donald Crawford Implement. Until the time of his retirement, he was employed by the La Plata Lumber Company.
---Surviving are one son, Olin Davis of La Plata; two grandchildren, Jimmy Wayne Davis of Pasadena, Texas and Toby Marie Peavler of La Plata; four great-grandchildren, John and Stacy Davis and Mary and Courtney Peavler, all of La Plata.
---Funeral services were held Friday afternoon (March 2, 1990) at the Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata. The Rev. Orville Shriver conducted the service. Burial was in the La Plata cemetery.
