Lucy was born in Wibsey, West Yorkshire, England. The 5th child of Samuel and Ruth Ormondroyd nee Bairstow. She married John James "Jim" Naylor on 25th May 1896 at St. Paul's Church, Buttershaw. Jim and Lucy immigrated to America with their son Wesley in 1911.
