Canadice, N. Y. - Thomas Doolittle, who for many years has been a respected resident of this town, closed his eyes to earthly scenes at his home, on Monday night, Aug. 18th, at the advanced age of 87 years. Mr. D. was born in Connecticut in the year 1792. From Connecticut he moved to Vermont, and afterwards he made his home in New York. He lived for many years on the farm where he died. The funeral services were largely attended on Thursday, when Rev. S. M. Day preached from words found in Job V., 26, "Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in his season."
