William (Tim) Tackett, 73, Vienna, died Monday at his home. Mr. Tackett was born June 27, 1896, in Vienna the son of Harve and Nancy Josephine Eads Tackett. On Dec. 19, 1927, he married Viola Honse in Vienna. She survives. Mr. Tackett was a charter member of the Vienna American Legion Post No. 12. He was a member of the Missouri Fox Trot Assn. and an honorary member of the Show-Me Circuit Horse Show Assn. Mr. Tackett served many years on the Vienna Park Board, Fair Board and School Board. He also served on the Maries County Draft Board and the Welfare Commission.
Other survivors include: Two sons, Gayle Tackett and Leslie Tackett, both of Vienna; one step-son, Wayne Hopkins, St. Louis; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Moser, St. Louis, Mrs. Donna Backues, Salem, and Mrs. Darlene
McKinney, Vienna; three step-daughters, Mrs. Fern Clark, Belle, Mrs. Alma James, Rolla, and Mrs. Mae Rudroff, Vienna. Seven sisters, Mrs. Bertha Thomas, Meta, Mrs Gertie Ramsey and Mrs. Lula Bacon, both of Dixon, Mrs. Allie Robertson, Rolla, Mrs. Marjorie Moore and Mrs. Vera Sisco, both of Springfield, and Mrs. Lola Donaldson, Cantwell; and 21 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Vienna. The Rev. C. M. Howell and the Rev. Floyd Kolb will officiate.
Burial will be in Vienna Cemetery. Arrangements by Birmingham Funeral Home, Vienna..
