FUNERAL HELD FOR LULA BACON - Lula Bacon was born in Vienna on January 20, 1905 the daughter of Harve and Josephine Eads Tackett and died in the Pulaski County Memorial Hospital in Waynesville on Wednesday morning, January 9, 1980. She was 74. She was married to Thomas Bacon on March 26, 1924. They had one son and two daughters. Lula is survived by her husband Tom of the home, one son George of Dixon; two daughters, Vera Dickens of Jonesboro, Ark. and Julia Mitchell of Waynesville; two sisters, Gertie Ramsey of Dixon and Margie Moore of Springfield; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Gilbert Chapel on Saturday, Jan 12, 1980 at 2:00 p.m. with Earl Jones officiating. Burial was in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Gilbert Funeral Home in Dixon.
