William Leslie is the son of Dr. John Calvin and Mattie Preshia Robertson Moore. He was born and raised in Gibson County. There is a slight discrepancy about his age. Most records show he was born in 1883 but his Draft Registration (usually correct) shows 1884. I will defer to the headstone and believe 1883 to be correct. He had 4 brothers and 1 sister and they are:

Leslie died at age 89 in Tigrett preceding his wife by 9 months. Leslie was my 1st cousin, 2X removed.
