Myrtle appears as a single woman of 36 years, in the 1910 US PA census records of Halifax Borough, Dauphin county, residing with her brother Harry D. Chubb, on Armstrong Street, and she managed to stay "single" all of her life. Myrtle was dimminutive in statue, but, much to her credit, became a boss at the Willit's Shoe Factory in Halifax. She was a scavanger and saver, and true to her VICTORIAN image, as recalled by this compiler. As a child, I shared many a Sunday dinner with her as guest in the home of her nephew, Albert Lyter and wife Arlene, of Halifax.
