Mrs. Astling, 61, Passes Away
Heart Attack is Fatal To Constantine Woman

Constantine, Jan. 29- Mrs. Ione Astling, 61, passed away at 10:30 last evening at the Constantine Hospital, after suffering a fatal heart attack. She had been ill only two days. Had Mrs. Astling lived until next Monday, she would have been 62 years old.

She was born in Columbia City, Ind., Feb. 5, 1878, the daughter of Charles and Mary Tinker Dimmick. Before moving to Constantine, where she has been a prominent resident for the past 34 years, Mrs. Astling lived in Chicago.

She was married to Fred Astling, formerly a hardware merchant in Constantine, in Valparaiso in 1902, and he preceded her in death in April, 1932. She was a member of the Congregational Church. Constantine Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and the Constantine Grange Chapter.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Russell Brandt of Perry, Mich.: Miss Lucile Astling, a teacher in Lawton, Mich.; a son, Charles, of White Pigeon; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Fish, of Constatnine; and Mrs. Lora Westerman, of Rockford, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Geisler Chapel in Constantine, but the place of the services has not yet been determined. She will be buried in the Constantine Cemetery, and the time of the funeral has been set at Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. Kenneth G. Parks officiating.
