JOPLIN, MO — Bernard L. Bryan, age 87, of Joplin, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at his home.

Bernard was born Aug. 8, 1923, to Chester and Alta Bryan.

He married Helen Miller on April 11, 1941 (sic) [1942].

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Larry and wife, Linda, Stephen and Michael and wife, Virginia; and a daughter, Brenda Moore; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Davey; and two sisters, Ruth Devins and Virginia Filarski.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, Sarcoxie, Mo., with Larry Carlisle, Minister, officiating.

Interment will be in Powers Cemetery, east of Diamond, Mo., at a later date.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, Sarcoxie.

Bernard was born Aug. 8, 1923, to Chester and Alta Bryan.

He married Helen Miller on April 11, 1941 (sic) [1942].

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Larry and wife, Linda, Stephen and Michael and wife, Virginia; and a daughter, Brenda Moore; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Davey; and two sisters, Ruth Devins and Virginia Filarski.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, Sarcoxie, Mo., with Larry Carlisle, Minister, officiating.

Survivors include her three sons, Larry Bryan and wife, Linda, Stephen Bryan and Michael Bryan and wife, Virginia; one daughter, Brenda Moore; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley.
