RITES PENDING

Funeral services are pending with West Funeral Home for Mrs. Mary C. Calvani, 83(?), who died in a local hospital today.

Rosary services will be held at the West Chapel at 7:30 p.m Saturday.

A resident of the Carlsbad area for 60 years Mrs. Calvani was noted for her work with the St. Edwards Catholic Church Altar Society.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. W.A. Wheeler, Mrs. Albert Boeglin and Mrs. Elsie Weldon, all of Carlsbad. A son, Ralph, makes his home in Albuquerque.

There are 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

HERE MONDAY

Funeral services will be held from St. Edwards Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Monday for Mrs. Mary C. Calvani, 83, who died Friday in a local hospital.

The funeral mass will be conducted by Rev. Fr. Patrick Gauchat with burial in Carlsbad Cemetery, under direction of West Funeral Home.

Mrs. Calvani was born May 27, 1876, at Quincy, Illinois.

She came to Carlsbad 62 years from Quincy, and was married to the late Pete Calvani in 1916. Mrs. Calvani was noted for her many years of service to the community and particularly for outstanding work in the Altar Society of St. Edwards Church and the Woodmen's Circle.

Survivors include three daughters, one son, 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Daughters are Mrs. Albert Boeglin, Mrs. Elsie Weldon and Mrs. W.A. Wheeler, all of Carlsbad.

The son, Ralph Calvani, makes his home at Albuquerque.
