Wolcott Man Dies of Self-Inflicted Wounds
Dennnis Eugene Oberlander, 34, of 206 W. School Street, Wolcott, died at approximately 10:30 a.m. Monday of self-inflicted gunshot wounds at Reynolds, according to the White county coroner.
Mr. Oberlander, a laborer, was born at Hattiesburg, Miss., and lived most of his life in Wolcott. He was a member of Wolcott Christian church and served in the Army from 1958 to 1961
Surviving are two sons, Dennis Eugene II and Douglas, and a daughter, Jeneen, all of Reynolds; the parents, Eugene and Irene Allie Oberlander, of Wolcott; two brothers, Craig Oberlander of Chalmers and Richard Oberlander of Wolcott, and a sister, Mrs. Larry (Sharon) Klink, of Wolcott. The maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lillian Allie of Wolcott, also survives.
Private services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Wolcott Christian church with Rev. Jim Miller officiating. Interment was in Remington cemetery.
