A visitation will be at noon, with a service at 1 p.m. Monday in the Anchorage Baptist Temple VIP room. He will be buried at the Fort Richardson National Cemetery.
He was born April 27, 1958, in Worcester, Mass. He graduated from high school and trade school. He served in the U.S. Air Force from April 29, 1977, until Feb. 28, 1982. He worked as a mechanic in the Air Force and went on to work for the U.S. Post Office for over 20 years. Ray was a member of the Anchorage Baptist Temple.
Ray liked fishing, hunting, and traveling.
His family said, "Ray enjoyed meeting new people and socializing over coffee. He always provided for his family."
He is survived by his wife, Wanna Coderre; daughter, Michelle Coderre; son, Michael Coderre; mother, Irene Coderre; brother, Richard Coderre; and sisters, Ann Marie and Denise Coderre.
Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Marcel Coderre; and his first son, Paul Coderre.
