Mrs. Caroline VanDerhoff, 87, of Homedale, a long-time resident of Owhyee county, died Tuesday morning in a Caldwell hospital. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Wilder. Mrs. VanDerhoff was born November 27, 1876 in Richfield, Utah and moved from Utah to Big Timber, Montana. She was married in Big Timber November 23, 1893 to Wallce S. VanDerhoff and the couple moved to Homedale in 1915. Mr. VanDerhoff died in 1921. Two sons and a daughter also preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Helen Fry and six sons, Ira, George, Bill, Ted, and Paul VanDerhoff all of Homedale and Earl fo Summit City, CA; a sister Mrs. Nellie Kelson of Carlton, OR and 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
