CHARLES BAILEY
---Word was received this morning by Mr. and Mrs. William Kellar of the death of Charles Bailey, which occurred last night at a hospital at Colorado Springs, Colorado. Death was due to pneumonia of which he had been suffering for the past two weeks.
---Mrs. Bailey was born and raised in this community and will be well remembered here.
---His wife is the youngest sister of Mr. Kellar. He is also a brother of the late Robert Bailey and a brother, James Bailey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa survive. His wife and a daughter, Miss Juanita, also survive.
---No arrangements as yet has been made for the funeral services.

---Charles A. Bailey, son of James and Miranda Bailey, was born in La Plata, Missouri October 28, 1882, died in Bethel Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colorado, March 5, 1936 at the age of a little more than fifty-three years.
---Mrs. Bailey spent his early life here in this community but left here in 1911. He was married to Miss Rose Kellar August 10, 1910. To them was born one child, Mildred Juanita Bailey who, together with his wife, survive him. He is also survived by one brother, James Bailey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, one nephew, Ray Bailey of Lakenan, Missouri and one niece, Ruth Thompson, of La Plata.
---Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Christie Funeral Home at 2:00, conducted by Rev. Fred Hudson of the Community Presbyterian Church. Burial in the La Plata cemetery.
