Herman Paxton Parker, age 79, of Gilmer, Texas died February 10, 2011 at his residence. Burial at Pilgrim Cemetery at Elkhart, Texas is under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home of Palestine, Texas. He was born March 19, 1931 in Elkhart to the late Roy Parks and Daisy Belle Nelms Parker. Mr. Parker worked for Carrier in Longview as an installer. He was a Baptist. He served in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne in Korea. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Marie Carroll Parker; and sister, Billie Leona Mills. He is survived by his sons, Herman Glenn Parker, Kevin Wayne Parker; brother, Horace Edward Parker; seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
